Weekly Objectives

I can read, write, and identify words with r controlled vowels (ur er, ir,or)

I can use details in a text to describe characters and retell a story.

I can  correctly use and identify prepositions in a sentence.

I can organize and interpret data in a table or chart with up to three categories.

I can write an opinion piece using a combination of drawing, dictating, and writing digital resources to state the topic and an opinion.

Week in Review

We wrapped up our biographies, started to learn about creating and

analyzing data, and analyzed characters in fairy tales!

This week, we read Little Red Riding Hood, Goldilocks and the Three Bears, and The Three Little Pigs.

 They also had a blast making shadows in STEM!

Week in Review

The kids have had so much fun working to complete their biography research. The kids worked to pull out key details of their chosen person. 

 We took those details and wrote notes using bullet points.

This week we're turning our notes into books!

We also learned about Leap Years on Friday! This was the perfect next conversation after wrapping up our unit on Spinning Earth.

The kids learned why we have leap years and made their own time capsules to be opened in 2024!
