Week in Review
I am SO glad to be at school with your first graders! This week was a blast getting to know everyone. :)
This section of the blog is a fun way for you to stay "in the loop" with what is happening in our classroom. It's fun to be able to see exactly what your kiddo has been up to even when they say, "We did nothing at school today."
If you scroll through and wonder where your kiddo is in all of these pictures, please complete the form below:
Picture Permission for the Blog
Another form I have sent out a time or two is our Optional Classroom Volunteer Form.
Finally, there are a few helpful links to the side of the blog ->. **Please note that your students are not yet uploaded to Raz-Kids. I will let you know when that is complete.**
OKAY! Now to the fun part!
The class got to teach ME! They were already experts at our math tub games so they were itching to teach me the proper way to play.
We're already experts at teamwork :)
Your kiddos were challenged to play a few rounds of this fun game for their homework ;)
Here's to a great week!

OKAY! Now to the fun part!
We had fun with our friends outside.
We're already experts at teamwork :)
We talked about ways to read books.
This book has NO WORDS. Weird, right? The class helped me to read the story by reading the pictures.
Then we practiced building our stamina. We know that stamina means working for a long time on something that's really hard...and reading can be HARD.
We made it up to 5 minutes this week! WOOHOO!
We are also becoming expert spellers. We worked together to brainstorm as many words as we could for different short a word families.
We ended the week by FINALLY making it to the end of this hilarious book:
Here's to a great week!
