Picture Permission for the Blog
We had a jam-packed week! We are still easing our way into procedures and are learning all about our classroom jobs (that we get to pick for the first time this week!)
We're also getting the hang of our Math Tubs! With our new Investigations program, we are learning new math games all of the time to help us master new skills.
We love to play Five-In-a-Row...
Roll and Record (We roll two dice and add up the sum!)
Double Compare (Adding and comparing sums!)
and One or Two Less :)
We've also enjoyed sharing our writing with our class at the end of the day.
The kiddos love giving compliments and suggestions for one another's writing!
During phonics, we focused on short i word families.
We're also beginning to learn how to use the Wonders online resources! In this picture, we were working to sort short i words online!

We've also been working hard to build our stamina during Writer's Workshop. Currently, we're learning about what to include in a story.
We've also enjoyed sharing our writing with our class at the end of the day.

The kid's LOVE learning about building their stamina so we are also building stamina for Reading! When I pull groups for Guided Reading, students will be completing many jobs and one of them is daily reading. Your child knows all about having books that are perfect for their level as well as just plain, FUN books!
Language was all about word order this week. We had fun unscrambling silly mixed up sentences by playing Stand Up, Hand Up, Pair Up!
Have a FABULOUS week!
