Week in Review
This week was full of researching and presenting our animals! We spent all week applying our research to design the perfect zoos for our animals. To top off the week, we even presented our research to FOURTH GRADERS! Can you believe that? We TAUGHT fourth graders information they needed to complete their own zoo designs.
At the beginning of the week, we did a nature walk to collect materials for our zoos.

The way they used these materials was so creative!

We are working on creating "expert videos" that I will be able to share with you. These videos allow you to hear the thoughts behind the zoo managers (our first graders) designs.
Here we are teaching the fourth graders!

In math, we began working with 3D shapes! We have been exploring the shape faces and how we can compose new shapes by putting them together.

Have a fantastic week!

Week in Review
Thank you so much to everyone who volunteered to help with our zoo trip! Here's a look back at the fun we had!

We also started some work on our group project: designing zoo habitats for the animals we've been researching! One of our first major steps was to identify group norms. To do that, we did some fun, simple projects to help us understand how our groups perform together.

We've also been practicing how to complete research. We've talked about how to create research questions, to take "sloppy copy notes," and how to sort the information that we have.

Have a great week!
