Week in Review
This part of the year is so much fun! We are in the swing of our routines and the students have built their STAMINA to be able to do independent work stations. They were so proud to meet their goal of 20 minutes of independent work while our principal, Mrs. Strange, was in the room! We celebrated with a well-deserved dance party :)
Here is a peek at what we do during our independent work time!
A class favorite is pyramid writing to practice the sight words for the week.
Sometimes we're just writing in our journals!
Sometimes we have the privilege of using smelly pens to put our spelling words in context!
In math, we spend a lot of our independent time playing games!
When they're with me, they're challenged to not only find the answer to a problem but PROVE it!

Some of our students started cashing in their LiveSchool points for special rewards. This week, the class was treated with listening to some of our very own students reading to us! It takes a lot of courage to get up there but each of our readers did a fantastic job. So proud!
I'm ready for another great week!
